The Name
In 12th century southern France, a group of wandering poet-musicians called Troubadours traveled from court to court — composing songs not just about love, but about the places they had seen, the roads they had walked, and the wonders the world had shown them.
The word comes from the Old Occitan "trobar" — meaning to find. They were, in the truest sense, the world's first travel storytellers. They didn't just go places. They came back and made others feel it.
Trovana carries that same spirit into the modern age. We believe the best travel guide isn't written by an algorithm — it's written by someone who was actually there, fell in love with a city, and can't stop telling people about it.
